Hello
everyone, this is the last blog! And I'm going to talk about the career I'm
studying and what your true curriculum should look like.
I am
currently studying Public Administration at the University of Chile, a career
that lasts ten semesters and is aimed at young people with vocation of public
service to motivate, mobilize and direct people in achieving the objectives of
the State, both central and decentralized agencies. Ability to find the balance between
authority, order, freedom and the development expectations of citizens.
When I went
to study at this university, I imagined that I would have large classrooms, a
large playground, green areas, among others; However, when I first arrive at
the building that is on the street "Moneda", I am disappointed.
Although we
now change the building, I think more infrastructure changes should be made, as
more students arrive each year and another race will be added to this building,
so we will be very full.
Changes
must also be made in the curriculum, since I believe there are unnecessary
subjects, so the career should last only four years.
With regard
to the workload, there should be a system that coordinates better the jobs that
the teachers send us, since there are some who ask us to read many things
during a week and that same week we have to read other things, adding other
works for which we see ourselves overloaded.
Finally,
the teaching methods should be more didactic and not so routine, taking advantage
of the use of technologies such as computers, projectors, speakers, among
others.
I totally agree with the changes you'd like to make Victor!
